Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
For the seventh year in a row, U.S. News & World Report has named Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to its prestigious Honor Roll of the best children’s hospitals in the nation.
With the release of the 2015-2015 U.S. News Honor Roll, we have been named:
•No.1-ranked children’s hospital in California
•US News and World Report Badge 2015-16_CHLASeventh children’s hospital overall in the country
•One of only 12 hospitals to make the list
•A top 10 on “Best Children’s Hospitals” for seven years in a row.
U.S. News & World Report has been identifying the country’s top children’s hospitals and its specialties for 26 years (that’s a long time!) and every year, CHLA has been named. But seven years ago, the publication decided to rank children’s hospitals across 10 specialties, understanding that their care is often more complex and that the specialized expertise is often much more difficult to come by. As a result, the Honor Roll of best children’s hospitals was born. The Honor Roll recognizes hospitals that had three or more specialty areas ranked in the top 10 percent in the nation—CHLA had seven specialties named—more than in any other year.
Amazing! This achievement would not be possible without the team of doctors, nurses, researchers and hospital staff who are all dedicated in providing the best possible care for our young patients.
It is also a testament to the impressive support of our community whose generosity enables us to demonstrate on a daily basis why we think a grown-up hospital is no place for a kid.
